N\u00eb historin\u00eb e tmerreve \u00e7njer\u00ebzore, ku jeta e njeriut nuk vlente as sa nj\u00eb flet\u00eb e thar\u00eb dushku, ndodhi edhe nj\u00eb tragjedi e madhe me p\u00ebrmasat kolosale t\u00eb dhembjes e frik\u00ebs. Kjo tragejdi emrin e kishte Holoakust, kurse hebrenjt\u00eb ishin ata t\u00eb cil\u00ebt kaluan n\u00ebp\u00ebr rrath\u00ebt e k\u00ebtij ferri. N\u00eb secilin rreth sfidohej fati dhe e ardhmja e hebrenj\u00ebve, por pati edhe purgator ku njer\u00ebzit vullnetmir\u00eb, edhe k\u00ebtu n\u00eb Shkup, n\u00eb Prishtin\u00eb, n\u00eb Shkod\u00ebr e gjetiu, tregonin m\u00ebshir\u00eb e solidaritet p\u00ebr k\u00ebt\u00eb popull q\u00eb pa t\u00eb drejt\u00eb ishte sh\u00ebnjestruar nga makineria vrastare e nazi-fashizmit.<\/p>\n
Sot n\u00eb k\u00ebt\u00eb akademi p\u00ebrkujtimore jemi mbledhur edhe nj\u00ebher\u00eb q\u00eb t\u00eb evokojm\u00eb nj\u00eb ngjarje q\u00eb i dha fund dram\u00ebs kolektive t\u00eb nj\u00eb populli i cili vuante \u00e7astet e fundit n\u00ebp\u00ebr kampet e p\u00ebrq\u00ebndrimit.<\/p>\n
N\u00eb ato dit\u00eb t\u00eb ftohta janari t\u00eb vitit 1945, Armata e Kuqe kishte p\u00ebrparuar n\u00eb thell\u00ebsi t\u00eb territorit t\u00eb Polonis\u00eb dhe pasi \u00e7liruan Varshav\u00ebn dhe Krakovin, m\u00eb 27 janar 1945, trupat sovjetike hyn\u00eb n\u00eb Aushvic , duke \u00e7liruar t\u00eb mbijetuarit e rrjetit t\u00eb kampeve t\u00eb p\u00ebrqendrimit, me \u00e7ka n\u00eb syt\u00eb e bot\u00ebs zbuloheshin p\u00ebrmasat shtazarake t\u00eb nj\u00eb ideologjie antisemite.<\/p>\n
Sot pas 78 viteve, kur evokojm\u00eb k\u00ebt\u00eb ngjarje q\u00eb i dha fund vuajtjeve dhe p\u00ebrndjekjev t\u00eb hebrenj\u00ebve, nj\u00eb pyetje q\u00eb na imponohet vetvetiu \u00ebsht\u00eb: Sa ka nxjerr\u00eb m\u00ebsime njer\u00ebzimi nga e kaluara e err\u00ebt dhe cilat jan\u00eb p\u00ebrgjigjet e njer\u00ebzve t\u00eb arsyesh\u00ebm ndaj ngjarjeve me karakter antihuman?<\/p>\n
Gjat\u00eb koh\u00ebs sa vepronte murtaja fashiste, n\u00eb Bern\u00eb t\u00eb Zvicr\u00ebs funksiononte nj\u00eb grup diplomat\u00ebsh i udh\u00ebhequr nga Aleksander \u0141ado\u015b (1891-1963), ambasador polak n\u00eb Zvic\u00ebr n\u00eb periudh\u00ebn nga 1940 deri n\u00eb 1945. \u0141ado\u015b ishte udh\u00ebheq\u00ebs i t\u00eb ashtuquajturit \u201cGrupi i Bernit, i cili vepronte fshehurazi n\u00eb shp\u00ebtimin e mbi 10 mij\u00eb hebrenjve nga Holokausti, duke i pajisur me pasaporta t\u00eb falsifikuara t\u00eb Amerik\u00ebs Latine, kryesisht paraguajane.<\/p>\n
Grupi p\u00ebrb\u00ebhej nga kat\u00ebr diplomat\u00eb polak\u00eb dhe dy p\u00ebrfaq\u00ebsues t\u00eb organizatave hebraike: ambsadori Aleksander \u0141ado\u015b, ndihm\u00ebsi i tij dhe kreu i deg\u00ebs politike Stefan Ryniewicz, konsulli Konstanty Rokicki, atasheu dhe specialisti p\u00ebr \u00e7\u00ebshtjet hebraike Dr Juliusz K\u00fchl, si dhe aktivisti sionist dhe deputeti polak Abraham Silberschein dhe Chaim Eiss, nj\u00eb aktivist hebre.<\/p>\n
K\u00ebt\u00eb fakt po e p\u00ebrmendim p\u00ebr t\u2019u nd\u00ebrlidhur me pyetjen e m\u00ebsip\u00ebrme se cilat mund t\u00eb jen\u00eb reagimet dhe veprimet e njer\u00ebzve t\u00eb arsyesh\u00ebm ndaj ngjarjeve me karakter antihuman. Si\u00e7 mund ta shohim nga shembulli i lartp\u00ebrmendur, q\u00eb nd\u00ebrlidhet me nj\u00eb grup diplomat\u00ebsh i udh\u00ebhequr nga ambasadori polak n\u00eb Zvic\u00ebr, Aleksander \u0141ado\u015b, edhe n\u00eb koh\u00eb t\u00eb v\u00ebshtira ka njer\u00ebz me shpirt t\u00eb madh q\u00eb sakrific\u00ebn p\u00ebr tjetrin e kan\u00eb kauz\u00eb jet\u00ebsore, si\u00e7 ndodhi edhe me dhjet\u00ebra familje shkupjane q\u00eb rrezikuan veten p\u00ebr t\u00eb shp\u00ebtuar fqinj\u00ebt e tyre hebre gjat\u00eb LDB.<\/p>\n
Tragjedit\u00eb njer\u00ebzore mund t\u00eb p\u00ebrs\u00ebriten dhe ato mund ta ken\u00eb fytyr\u00ebn e njejt\u00eb t\u00eb tmerrit, por ajo \u00e7ka na intereson neve sot \u00ebsht\u00eb pyetja: A mundet solidariteti dhe sakrifica p\u00ebr tjetrin t\u00eb krijoj s\u00ebrish fole n\u00eb zemrat e njer\u00ebzve human?<\/p>\n
N\u00ebse i referohemi dekadave t\u00eb fundit t\u00eb k\u00ebtij shekulli, e sidomos tensioneve t\u00eb shkaktuara si pasoj\u00eb e invazionit rus n\u00eb Ukrain\u00eb, mund t\u00eb konstatojm\u00eb se njer\u00ebzimi ka p\u00ebrjetuar n\u00eb m\u00ebnyr\u00eb ciklike efektet e mosmarr\u00ebveshjeve q\u00eb kan\u00eb p\u00ebrfunduar n\u00eb konlfikte t\u00eb armatosura. Mij\u00ebra viktima t\u00eb pafajshme, kolona t\u00eb gjata refugjat\u00ebsh, p\u00ebrplasje t\u00eb ashpra luftarake, t\u00eb gjitha k\u00ebto p\u00ebrb\u00ebjn\u00eb bilancin e nj\u00eb logjike q\u00eb p\u00ebrjashton arsyen nga vendimarrja politike. Prandaj ne si evropian\u00eb nuk guxojm\u00eb t\u00eb lejojm\u00eb q\u00eb \u201ckuajt e apokalips\u00ebs\u201d t\u00eb kal\u00ebrojn\u00eb s\u00ebrish n\u00ebp\u00ebr vendet tona. Me k\u00ebt\u00eb rast m\u00eb lejoni t\u00eb parafrazoj edhe nj\u00eb th\u00ebnie t\u00eb N\u00ebn\u00ebs Tereze e cila apelonte q\u00eb para se t\u00eb filloj\u00eb nj\u00eb konflikt, pal\u00ebt duhet menduar mir\u00eb se vet\u00ebm dialogu dhe mir\u00ebkuptimi jan\u00eb rrug\u00ebt e vetme q\u00eb sjellin perspektiv\u00eb p\u00ebr njer\u00ebzit.<\/p>\n
Evropa duhet t\u00eb mbrohet nga tendecat q\u00eb si synim kan\u00eb prishjen e balanceve gjeopolitike n\u00eb rajon si rrjedhoj\u00eb e p\u00ebrhapjes s\u00eb konfliktit nga Ukraina n\u00eb Ballkan, por edhe \u00e7rr\u00ebnjosjen e t\u00eb gjitha deformimeve q\u00eb d\u00ebmtojn\u00eb demokracin\u00eb, si\u00e7 \u00ebsht\u00eb lidhja e pushtetit me krimin dhe korrupsionin. Ne duhet s\u00ebrish t\u00eb tregojm\u00eb sens t\u00eb lart\u00eb p\u00ebrgjegj\u00ebsie, duke refuzuar \u00e7far\u00ebdo lloj alternative q\u00eb nuk \u00ebsht\u00eb euro-atlantike si dhe t\u00eb angazhohemi q\u00eb demokracia t\u00eb jet\u00eb prodhim i betejave t\u00eb ndershme politike. Heronj\u00eb nuk kemi vet\u00ebm n\u00eb luft\u00eb. Heronj\u00eb ka edhe n\u00eb paqe. Por k\u00ebta t\u00eb fundit kan\u00eb nj\u00eb mision t\u00eb dyfisht: t\u00eb parandalojn\u00eb \u00e7far\u00ebdo shk\u00ebndije q\u00eb mund t\u00eb sjell konflikt dhe t\u00eb dalin mbi egocentrizmin etnik e fetare n\u00eb favor t\u00eb mir\u00ebkuptimit me t\u00eb tjer\u00ebt. N\u00ebse gjat\u00eb LDB pat\u00ebm heronj t\u00eb heshtur q\u00eb ua shp\u00ebtuan jet\u00ebn hebrenj\u00ebve, sot kemi nevoj\u00eb p\u00ebr disa heronj\u00eb t\u00eb tjer\u00eb, t\u00eb cil\u00ebt duke tejkaluar vetveten arrijn\u00eb t\u00eb ruajn\u00eb harmonin\u00eb fqinj\u00ebsore e shoq\u00ebrore, ose si\u00e7 thot\u00eb nj\u00eb urti popullore shqiptare: \u201cNuk mund t\u2019i b\u00ebsh mir\u00eb tjetrit, pa e l\u00ebn\u00eb keq veten.\u201d<\/p>\n
Me k\u00ebt\u00eb urti popullore po e p\u00ebrfundoj edhe fjal\u00ebn time kushtuar 78 vjetorit t\u00eb \u00e7lirimit t\u00eb kampit t\u00eb Aushvicit nga Armata e Kuqe, me \u00e7\u2019rast populli hebre u la i lir\u00eb t\u00eb g\u00ebzoj\u00eb jet\u00ebn me dinjitet, kurse njer\u00ebzimi i mbeti ta memoroj\u00eb n\u00eb mendje Holokastin si nj\u00eb ngjarje e cila n\u00ebse nuk luftohet me t\u00eb gjitha forcat e p\u00ebrbashk\u00ebta, mund t\u00eb na p\u00ebrs\u00ebritet s\u00ebrish n\u00eb trajta e m\u00ebnyra t\u00eb ndryshme.<\/p>\n

During the history of inhumane horrors, where human life was not even worth as much as a dry oak leaf, a great tragedy occurred with the colossal proportions of pain and fear. This tragedy was called the Holocaust, and the Jews were the ones who passed through the circles of this hell. In each direction, the fate and future of the Jews was challenged, but there was also a purgatory where good-willed people, like here in Skopje, Pristina, in Skadar and elsewhere, showed mercy and solidarity for this people who were unfairly targeted by the Nazi murderous machinery.<\/p>\n
Today, in this memorial academy, we have gathered once again to evoke an event that ended the collective drama of the people who suffered their last moments in concentration camps.<\/p>\n
In those cold days of January 1945, the Red Army had advanced deep into Polish territory, and after liberating Warsaw and Krakow, on January 27, 1945, Soviet troops entered Auschwitz, freeing the survivors of the network of concentration camps, with which the beastly dimensions of an anti-Semitic ideology were revealed in the eyes of the world.<\/p>\n
Today, after 78 years, when we recall this event that ended the suffering and persecution of the Jews, a question that naturally imposes itself on us is: How much has humanity learned from the dark past and what are the responses of reasonable people to events of an anti-human character ?<\/p>\n
During the fascist plague, a group of diplomats led by Aleksander \u0141ado\u015b (1891-1963), Polish ambassador to Switzerland from 1940 to 1945, operated in Bern, Switzerland. \u0141ado\u015b was the leader of the so-called “Bern Group, who worked secretly to save over 10,000 Jews from the Holocaust, providing them with forged Latin American passports, mainly Paraguayan ones.<\/p>\n
The group consisted of four Polish diplomats and two representatives of Jewish organizations: Ambassador Aleksander \u0141ado\u015b, his assistant and head of the political branch Stefan Ryniewicz, consul Konstanty Rokicki, attach\u00e9 and specialist for Jewish affairs Dr Juliusz K\u00fchl, as well as Zionist activist and Polish MP Abraham Silberschein and Chaim Eiss, a Jewish activist.<\/p>\n
We are mentioning this fact to be related to the above question about what the reactions and actions of reasonable people can be to events of an anti-human nature. As we can see from the above-mentioned example, which is related to a group of diplomats led by the Polish ambassador to Switzerland, Aleksander \u0141ado\u015b, even in the darkest of times there are people with a great spirit who make sacrifice for others as their vital cause, as happened with dozens of families in Skopje who risked themselves to save their Jewish neighbors during the WWII.<\/p>\n
Human tragedies can be repeated and they can have the same face of horror, but what interests us today is the question: Can solidarity and sacrifice for the other create nests in the hearts of humane people, again?<\/p>\n
If we refer to the last decades of this century, and especially the tensions caused as a result of the Russian invasion in Ukraine, we can conclude that humanity has cyclically experienced the effects of disputes that have ended in armed conflicts. Thousands of innocent victims, long columns of refugees, fierce military clashes, all these constitute the balance of a logic that excludes reason from political decision-making. Therefore, we as Europeans do not dare to allow the “horses of the apocalypse” to ride through our countries again. On this occasion, allow me to paraphrase a statement of Mother Teresa, who appealed that before a conflict begins, the parties should think carefully that only dialogue and understanding are the only ways that bring perspective to people.<\/p>\n
Europe must be protected from the tendencies that aim to upset the geopolitical balance in the region as a result of the spread of the conflict from Ukraine to the Balkans, but also to eradicate all the deformations that harm democracy, such as the connection of power with crime and corruption. We must again show a high sense of responsibility, rejecting any kind of alternative that is not Euro-Atlantic, as well as commit to democracy being the product of honest political struggles. We don’t have heroes only in war. There are heroes even in peace. But the last ones have a double mission: to prevent any spark that could bring conflict and to rise above ethnic and religious egocentrism in favor of understanding with others. If during the WWII we had silent heroes who saved the lives of the Jews, today we need some other heroes, who by surpassing themselves manage to maintain neighborhood and social harmony, or as an Albanian old wisdom says: “You can’t do good to the other, without hurting yourself.”<\/p>\n
With this wise word, I am ending my speech dedicated to the 78th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz camp by the Red Army, in which case the Jewish people were left free to enjoy life with dignity, while humanity was left to memorize The Holocaust as an event which, if not fought with all joint forces, can be repeated again in different forms and ways.<\/p>\n
